Staff - Jim Moses, Director of Operations

Jim is Knight-Hawk's Director of Operations. He has served our country as a member of the United States Marine Corp. Enlisting in 1978, he completed his basic training at Paris Island. During his First Tour of Duty with the First Marine Brigade he rose through the ranks to Sergeant by 1984. He then was assigned to the marine barracks naval weapons station in Yorktown, VA. There, he was billeted as a Sergeant of the Guard and Career Planner. He was promoted to Staff Sergeant September 1, 1987. Upon promotion he was reassigned to Ground Defense Force in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba as Platoon Sergeant, 3rd Platoon. In January 1989 he received orders to transfer to Drill Instructor School at Paris Island. Following graduation, he was assigned to Company G, 2nd Recruit Training battalion. He held billets as Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, and Series Gunnery Sergeant. In July 1991 he was meritoriously promoted to Gunnery Sergeant. In September 1991, he served in Twenty Nine Palms as Platoon Sergeant and Company Gunnery Sergeant. In 1994 he graduated Advanced Staff NCO School with honors. In 1995 he was transferred to MCRD in San Diego and was promoted to First Sergeant. In December 1998 he was assigned to 3rd RTB as Battalion Sergeant Major. In March 1999 he transferred to the recruiting station in Nashville, TN. In November 2001 he was transferred to the 6th Marine Corp District Headquarters. After a distinguished twenty-six and one half years, he retired. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Marine Corp Commendation Medal with Gold Standard, the Navy and Marine Achievement Medal with Gold Star. He holds three Personal Security Licenses with the State of Texas including level three classroom and firing range instructor.
